The curriculum question is “Should we have a separate course, or should we embed critical thinking in the standard courses that we are teaching anyway?” I advocate a third alternative for most situations: doing both. The domain-specificity question is “Is critical thinking domain specific?” I try to clarify a number of relevant issues in the domain-specificity question in this paper.
